We had a great time together for our first 2021 Community Event. About 40 residents gathered on the Community Center porch around a table FULL of great eats - pizza, salads, smoked goodies and desserts galore. Abby introduced our new Community Alliance members: Terry, Joseph and Matt (who wasn’t able to be with us); and Betsy, our new Community Facilitator. Several more Alliance members will soon be added. Betsy talked briefly about our goals for building community with lots of resident participation. We also described how the online Forum will be used as our main point of communication, so everyone was encouraged to register and participate in the Forum. And how about INCENTIVES!! We are offering several for this month: ** 1 (or maybe 2 depending on the number of participants) Amazon gift card - everyone who registers in the Forum and does at least one post, as well as members who were already registered and who do at least one post are eligible. A drawing will be held the end of the month. ** a Tiny Estates T-shirt - for each person who commits to be the liaison for a community event, or help with a community service (like the Community Library, and the Needs and Borrows). AND then we took a tour around the whole community with residents introducing themselves and their house, and Abby filing in for those who were not with us. That was a wonderful way to get better acquainted and match new acquaintances with their houses!
