Cody is from Douglasville,PA (south of Reading) - near the Daniel Boone homestead. He attended Millersville University here in Lancaster County & graduated with a degree in applied engineering and technology management. He then worked as a manufacturing project manager for 2 years.
Wanting at that point to own his own home, he researched tiny homes and built his first tiny house, the Green Bean. As he was looking for a place to live in it, he got connected with Abby and became the first tenant and an employee of the brand new Tiny Estates.
Cody's favorite thing about The Green Bean is that he really likes the siding with its shades of greens and blues - which is actually one of the few original features of the house! Cody has made so many changes to it in 3 years - floors, skylights, kitchen,...it is a fluid process as he is always upgrading and seeking better efficiency. He also really loves that it's HIS house & he has complete freedom to do what he wants to do with it. In that first building project and 4 subsequent houses and a number of renovations and countless tweaks to houses here at Tiny Estates which he has done, Cody has gained lots of experience and skills, which he is also constantly using and upgrading. This has led him to feel empowered and confident that he can have his own business, which he has set up as ComakTinyHomes (www.comaktinyhoumes.com). Check out his website for some more details about the homes he has built and services he offers.
Cody will be leading us in a "Winterizing your tiny house" workshop tomorrow, Saturday the 13, starting at 10. Come on out and say hi!
