Raised bed garden

I'd like to suggest we prepare the raised bed gardens near the storage container for winter. Having gardened for the past decade in south Florida, I am no expert on gardening up north here...but if we clear out the beds of the dead plants, and turn the soil mixing in some of the leaves, etc, it seems that would be a good way for it to rest thru the winter.
Any other ideas?
Shall we meet tomorrow, the 12th, at 11 in the morning?
