We are planning to celebrate the Holidays together as a community on December 18th, with a bad weather date for the 19th if needed. We will meet at the Community Center at 5.
You’ll be guided to the Center by pathways of luminaries (lit candles) which will be placed throughout the community. Enjoy the house decorations too… We are hoping very much our newly enclosed porch area will be ready, so we can gather in comfort! If you'd like to help with the luminaries, let Betsy know. We'll set them up that afternoon.
This will be one of our fabulous pot lucks, so bring whatever goodies you’d like to share! We’d also like to offer a cookie exchange if anyone is interested - participants bring a dozen cookies, and everyone goes away with whatever they choose! Let us know if you’d like to participate in that (reply here or talk to Betsy).
Carols…games…a bonfire (lots of s’mores supplies at the ready) - whatever people want to do together - it’ll be FUN!!
We’ll also be continuing our pumpkin re-purposing and holiday baking in the Center kitchen through the next few weeks, so if you’d like to join in on that, let Betsy know what days/times would be good for you.
Looking forward to seeing EVERYONE at the Event on the 18th! And, whether you spend the Season here or elsewhere, we wish you all a Happy, Safe Holidays!
We have decided to ring in the New Year together on January 8th - stay tuned for details on that event. It’s a bit later than originally planned but hopefully by then people will be back from their travels and somewhat recovered from the holidays blitz.

Still waiting to set up my spine surgery for much better mobility, but I should mention there were concerns last I spoke with people about a fire hazard, so if I don't have to bend over I would love to pair up with someone to assure this plan is done safely. (Witnesses will note that I pouted when I heard we weren't doing it)... I left behind several hundred lunch bags at my old house, so my heart's still in it. Looking forward to popping some popcorn at the firepit also, so anyone with needle and thread can string some for the outdoor creatures.
